Not that the other characters were having the time of their life. Mulder is exposed to the black oil, crashes a truck, is nearly blown up at an oilfield. And the whole chicken-wire thing didn’t look to comfortable either. I guess compared to other episodes Scully not having too much of a hard time, no kidnapping, blows to the head,…she’s just thrown in jail for not talking.

Scully: “What I’m worried about is you, Mulder. How far you’ll go. And how far I can follow you.”

Krycek: “Mulder, you’re not…”
Mulder: “I’m leaving the window rolled down. If I’m not back in a week I’ll call Agent Scully and to come bring you a bowl of water.”

Scully: “Several of the men on this committee are lawyers. It is my experience that lawyers ask the wrong question only when they don’t want the right answer.”

Mulder: “I can put my arms around you… both of them.”

The good: Unruhe
With another boring and useless meeting at work 4 hours from now, an icepick-lobotomy sounds really nice…Maybe I won’t have to attend the meeting if I start rambling on about howlers in German. Not much to say about this episode, weird photo’s, Scully getting kidnapped for the umpteenth time, Scully speaking German, Mulder in full Scully-protection mode shooting the murderer withouth even checking whether his got the right guy.

The bad: The field where I died
I really didn’t like this episode. Not sure why though, maybe it’s because I’m a shipper…
This is about the only good quote:
Mulder: “Dana? If… early in the four years we’ve been working together… an event occurred that suggested… or somebody told you that we’d been friends together… in other lifetimes. Always. Would it have changed some of the ways we looked at one another?”
Scully: “Even if I knew for certain, I wouldn’t change a day… Well… maybe that flukeman thing. I could of lived without that just fine.”

The ugly: Sanguinarium
If ever you need a reason not to have plastic surgery, watch Sanguinarium. I think I’ll postpone a liposuction indefinetely and start doing some ab exercises instead. Mulder appears to be contemplating plastic surgery the way he keeps making funny faces in the mirror.

This morning I ended up watching Musings of a cigarette smoking man. It’s about, you’ll never guess, the Cigarette Smoking Man I guess pure evil isn’t all that pure after all. I mean, the guy actually tries to become a writer and gives his employees Christmas presents (were those red and green ties implying something or am I just paranoid?). He even tries to quit smoking and writes his letter of resignation. Smoky gives his own view of life being like a box of chocolates.
Chris Owens who plays the young Smoking Man, plays Smoking Man Jr. later on in the series.

I was watching Pusher again last night and that episode is, in my opinion anyway, a shipper’s dream Scully falling asleep next to Mulder, according to Mulder drooling on him, and then there’s the part right before Mulder enters the hospital. And when they touch hands at the end, sooooooo sweeeeet (yes, I managed to drag my mind out of the gutter thanks to this episode and get in a more romantic mood )
Oh yeah, somewhere along the episode Skinner gets his ass kicked by a woman after being maced.

Mulder: “Hey… I think you drooled on me.”

Robert Modell: “You and your pretty partner seem awfully close. Do you work well together?”
Scully: “So he’s a killer and a golfer?”
Mulder: “Rings a bell, huh? Let’s go G-woman.”

Mulder: “Oh we had enough to get past a simple preliminary hearing. Modell psyched the guy out. He put the whammy on him.”
Scully: “Please explain to me the scientific nature of the whammy.”

I couldn’t remember that much about Teso dos bichos. Except for the fact that Scully is attacked by a cat. The only reason I remember that is because in one of the extra’s on the DVD Chris Carter mentions they had to use a fake cat because Gillian Anderson is allergic to cats. Why do remember a useless tidbit of information like that? Because I’m allergic to cats as well, and lots of other stuff like rodents, fruit, trees, grass, cleaning, work…
Mulder’s attempt to be a gentlemen hits rock bottom when they’re about to enter the sewer and he says to Scully “Ladies first”

Scully: “Label that.”
Officer: “As what?”
Scully: “Partial rat body part.”

Scully: “Have you been drinking Yaje, Mulder?”
Mulder: “Go with it Scully.”

In Hell money Lucy Liu makes an appearance. What really amazes me is that when someone starts digging on TV they always start at the exact spot where the face is lying.

Scully: “He was a dishwasher in Chinatown.”
Mulder: “How many dishes do you have to break before your boss tosses you in an oven?”

Scully: “Do you know how much the human body is worth, Mulder?”
Mulder: “Depends on the body.”

Another humourous episode is Jose Chung’s ‘From outer space’. A writer is trying to get an objective view from Scully on an alien abduction as everyone involved has a different story.

Mulder the blank and expressionless “Mandroid” yelping, Scully being referred to as a man in black disguised as a woman, the men in black, aliens, Mulder in his own bed,…
There’s another nosebleed, and a phrase which comes back later on in the series “this is not happening” (regardless of what context it’s used in, that phrase always reminds me of sad-Scully music).
And I completely agree with Blaine Faulkner, I have frequently wished to be abducted by aliens in my current job.

Jose Chung: “And here I was thinking you were just some… brainy beauty. Now I find out that you also have… good taste.”

Scully: “Just as long as you’re attempting to record the truth…”
Jose Chung: “Dear god no! How could I possibly do that?”

Scully: “Well, of course he didn’t actually say ‘bleeped’, he said —”
Jose Chung: “I’m familiar with Detective Manners’ colourful… phrasiology.”

Mulder: “He said it happened before the abduction. Well, so what if they had sex?”
Scully: “So we know that it wasn’t an alien that probed her.”

Nisei and 731 are 2 mytharc episodes. Scully finds out more about her abduction and the chip that was in her neck. Now I know we women tend to carry around al sorts of weird and crazy stuff in our purses…but implants…? Anyway, Agent Pendrell, who has a major crush on Scully, destroys the chip while testing (I forgot about that).
Once again, Mulder doesn’t listen to Scully’s good advice and ends up nearly dead…again…
What is it with Mulder and boxcars anyway, didn’t his parents give him any toy-trains to play with when he was a kid? Oh, and he once again points a gun at Skinner. After he says to Skinner “I don’t remember giving you a key”, I started wondering about when (and why) he gave a key to Scully…maybe I’ll try and find some fanfic on that to ease my mind a little.

I quite liked Revelations, because of how it deals with Mulder and Scully’s friendship and beliefs. But as Scully mentioned as well, I still don’t understand why Mulder beliefs anything and everything except when it comes to religion. Too me the end also showed that Mulder can trust Scully more than the other way around.

War of the Coprophages (I’m not even going to try and pronounce that one) is another humourous episode, so a good one in my book
It’s fun for many reasons, not just because our dynamic duo end up litteraly covered in crap. Mulder trying to impress the bug lady (I guess there are worse names than Fox, how many times would Bambi have been asked whether her mother had been shot?), Mulder freaking out about bugs, Scully doing relatively normal weekend stuff (which reminds me I have to wash my dog as well), Scully getting just a little bit jealous, Mulder being dumped for a guy in a wheelchair. Great episode all around

The way Scully talked to all those army officers in The walk showed she was a real navy brat. Mulder basically just stood there, seemingly not knowing what to say. Imagine that, Mulder not knowing what to say… The whole astral projection thing was pretty fun. Especially the part where Mulder says to Rappo “No sleepwalking.”

All through Oubliette Mulder has his patented “sad Mulder look” on. Really cute. How Scully manages to keep her hands to herself when he’s got that look, is an X file in itself
There appears to be a nosebleed pattern all through the X files series, I wonder if there will be any nosebleeds in the new X files movie as well.

Scully: “That’s spooky.”
Mulder: “That’s my name isn’t it?”

On another note; Mulder’s hair is starting to look really good

Well actually only 1.5. I saw the first half of The list the day before yesterday.

DPO features Jack Black and Giovanni Ribisi (Frank jr. jr. on Friends, Phoebe’s sister), and they’re both brilliant in this episode about a young troubled guy who can control lightning.

Clyde Bruckman’s final repose has everything I want in a good episode, humour, interesting storyline and great conversations.

Clyde Bruckman: “They’re terrible things.”
Puppet: “I know they are. So tell me, please, why have I done them.”
